Is the 2011 Ford Edge worth waiting for, or should I buy a 2010 Nissan Murano?

We are expecting our second child in January and I want to get a crossover vehicle. I like the styling of the Edge, but research shows that a model upgrade is due in 2011. I also like the Nissan Murano, but I am worried that next year will be a big leap forward in auto technology.

Every year there is a move forward in auto technology. With that attitude you’d never buy a car or you’d want to buy a new one every year. Forget that nonsense. Buy what you need when you need it and don’t concern yourself with what might happen next year.
The Murano will ALWAYS be worth more than the Edge. The residual value of the Murano is 10 times better than that of the Edge. Even when you have over 100k on your Murano it will still hold great value. Once you get over 100k on the Edge, the value drops tremendously. So just think of the future and if you ever are going to be selling or trading in your vehicle, go with the Murano. And as far as the vehicle goes, the Murano is a MUCH better vehicle all the way around.
