the ZR1 and ACR aren’t base models. the GTR is a base model. not a fair race stop comparing them. its fucking pointless.
My point is don’t put your money where your mouth is. If Nissan says they can do better, than let them show it. Before the GT-R came out, everyone was making a big deal about it. Although it does put out amazing numbers, it still doesn’t beat the ZR1 or the ACR. You have to remember the ACR has no tech in it that modifies the driving experience. It’s straight motor and the control of the vehicle relies on you. The GT-R is an awesome car, don’t get me wrong, but until then, the Viper dominates.
and they’d add an extra hundred horsepower or so and overall change the whole set up, its main advantage aint the speed, not at all, its got less bhp, torque and top speed than nearly all other sports cars but it still beats them, thats because nissan are genius’s, how do you think they got a 1.7 ton car round so fast, no one else could do that, the only advantage its got is the acceleration, and the rest is down to nissans tech. i dont see what your point is.
theres always a faster version of the skyline always has been and always will be, the nismo versions, im saying if nissan made an agreement with mines to put a track version into production like dodge have with acr then they could do equally make a scary fast car, weight in this car dont matter, it beats nearly every single ferrari and exotic out there because of the tech, but mines would remove alot of weight like all the creature comforts, probs take about 150kg or more off
We have yet to see Nissan put a “track version” of the GT-R, and last time I checked they put everything into this car to make it a drag warrior and a good handling track car. Face it, the GT-R is overweight and it’s drivetrain is big. Nissan will not get a better time than it got at the Ring. I know this because Nissan has yet to come out with something like you’re suggesting. The GT-R’s main advantage is speed, and if you tune it the same way the Viper ACR is tuned, it is still heavy.
if nissan asked mines to make a track version or very fast version of the gtr then that could easily get down to 7:20 or under, look at it now 1.8 tons, 480 bhp average, made for road comfort and speed all in one, mines could easily take it to 700 bhp or so, take bout 300 kg or so off the weight, tune suspension and super atessa for track and make it into a monster as acr have with the viper and put that into production. you can only compare this to other stock cars, base cars. nuff said.
yeh so your comparing a track race car to a bog standard nissan gtr which is made for the daily use mainly and trackdays everynow and again, the standard viper is what you should compare it to, its been modified alot, Its aerodynamic upgrades produce 1000 lbf (4.4 kN) of down-force at 150 mph (240 km/h), or roughly 10 times the downforce the base Viper SRT-10 can produce at the same speed now hows it not been modified much hey? the standard one clocks 7:59,
You’re just as dumb as him. The Viper ACR hasn’t had any major changes to it. The ACR is clearly a better car than the GT-R, it’s faster in a straight line, and it proved it’s a better track car on the Ring. And yet, you can buy it from Dodge. You both lost.

Wow it looked like soooo easy! Yes it’s faster than any stock US car, but it’s also FULL of electrinics, data mesures etc etc.
I prefer the stock Viper or the ACR, why? LOOKS WAY BETTER, more fun to drive…

thank god, nice to see some sense, all the american sports car fans say : yeh but the acr viper is still faster than gtr, but thats cos its been bloody tuned like mad and stripped out, this is a car that weighs 1.7 tons and has 480 bhp and acr is a modified like crazy hyper car

Hating on the GT-R? It’s one of my fav cars, but it’s definitely not faster than the ACR.
